Are Dates A Waste Of Time?

Having kissed my fair share of f**k boys, I can say that I think first dates are stressful. Even if they go well. And while we all have had a rotten date or two under our belts, some dates take it from bad to horrific. Between deadbeat dudes, and terrible first impressions, getting to know someone romantically can be a bit to much this day in age. With the rise of dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, Plenty Of Fish  and Raya it just got a whole lot more complicated. Below ill discuss some of the crazy dates that me and my girls have been on. The ones where we just sit back, have a cocktail and laugh about all night long 

The One Where He Cried All Night

I was at the grocery store. We met in front of the check out isle as he was trying to get people to sign up for a mailing list, and some how i ended up signing up for a date. Skip ahead a few days later.. So the night of our date he walks into the bar as I'm sipping my favorite wine (Sangria), smiled at me, then he started crying and I'm looking like WTF. His dog had just died , he said, and he really needed a drink, at this point i needed another drink as well. I ordered him a double shot of Cognac ( a high-quality brandy) because I really did feel bad for the guy and we spent the next two and a half hours talking about "bubbles" and looking at pictures of him. As the night ended (thank goodness) I thought it would help ( stop him from crying at least) if I gave him a kiss but when I tasted his sad, salty tears on my lips, I knew I'd taken a misstep- on this date and in my life 

The One Where He Wasn't What He Seemed

Home girl # 1 matched with a guy on Tinder and arranged to meet him. As they chatted he seemed like a pretty fun and nice guy to hang with, but all they did was switch social media names. Looking back this was her first rookie mistake, the second was meeting for dinner because it takes a minimum of an hour to get seated but she still was excited to meet this guy. There was just one catch. As they begin to talk, He had no teeth. LOL. When he started smiling at her she was completely taken back-he had two to three teeth max. I couldn't imagine how awkward it was to sit threw dinner. As she rushed home to check out his Tinder profile again only to find out that he hadn't been smiling in any of his pictures.

The Guy Who Got A Little To Comfortable

Home girl # 2 went out on a blind date with a a guy who was a friend of a friend. They started off seeing a movie where he talked the entire time about himself which was very annoying because she didn't get to pay attention to any of the movie, that she paid for (red flag #1). The next stop for the date was diner at her favorite place where he continued to talk with his mouth full, smack, and drink two bottles of wine (now she has to order her own glass of wine). Clearly, she slept with him anyway. She woke up in the middle of the night only to find him PEEING OFF THE SIDE OF HER BED IN HIS SLEEP."
